He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest in 1951. He became professor at the Department of Constitutional Law of the same Faculty, and for years he served also as Head of Department. He was Dean of the Faculty for a period of three years. He worked as a researcher at the Institute of Legal Sciences and at the Institute of Social Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He received his candidate’s degree in 1956. His main interests have been the theory of citizens’ rights and the constitutional problems of Electoral Law.
