Péter Paczolay, President of the Hungarian Constitutional Court, said that beside the two-third parliamentary majority much more definite actions are needed in order to enforce the constitutionality, and both the Parliament and the politics shall respect the decisions of the Constitutional Court.
As both Constitutional Courts had eventful years with international attention behind their back, the visit provided a great opportunity to exchange the experiences.
Augustin Zegrean, Head of the Romanian Delegation, said that the Constitutional Courts have a leading role to keep the different political conceptions under control prospectively and firmly. The Courts shall operate as the constitutional safeguard and both Courts are trying to meet this requirement.
